For those of you that didn’t know, our creative kid started “19th BLVD” building custom skateboards in his family’s shop out in the woods of rural Iowa. Although things have changed a bit our focus hasn’t. Family, friends, kindness, class, and adventure remains our target along with building cool products for our customers.
We’ve agreed that the “19th BVLD” name would be the umbrella covering the ideas that come from our shop. Garrett Trilk started this idea with incredibly designed, structurally sound, and functional long boards with the notion he could improve on existing concepts. With drive and dedication his creative mind did just that. Garrett recently graduated from Iowa State University with an Industrial Design degree with a primary focus on furniture design. He is now back working in our family-run shop with his brothers and his Dad.
Anyone who knows our family knows our way has always been to build our own fun. In the past we’ve built boats, bikes, racing motorcycles, off-road toys, vintage jeeps, guns and even homes. Recently, we’ve decided to grab another gear and manufacture metal furniture and with support from great friends we are off and running. It has always been about teaching our sons that hard work, creative thinking and good business practice is the way to success. We hope you enjoy our products and if there is something you might need custom built please ask.
